Irish Tales

The book includes old Irish fairy tales collected by the famous English folklorist Joseph Jacobs. Fairy tales, passed from mouth to mouth since the 11th century, are sometimes funny and sly, sometimes mysterious and magical. Their Celtic heroes are smart and stupid, kind and evil, greedy and generous. In these tales one can hear future European and Russian tales about the Bremen Town Musicians, Cinderella, Geese-Swans and Firebirds, and good always triumphs over evil.
