The Scarlet letter (Kapo)

Nathaniel Hawthorne (1804–1864) was one of the most significant American writers of the 19th century. We present to readers one of his most famous works, the novel The Scarlet Letter (1850), the first American novel to gain widespread resonance in Europe. The book contains the unadapted text of the abridged novel, supplemented with commentary and a glossary.
