Lady Chatterley's Lover (A6)

David Herbert Lawrence is one of the most famous writers of the early twentieth century, the author of psychological novels, as well as essays, poems, plays, travel notes and short stories. His last, scandalous novel, Lady Chatterley's Lover, written in 1928, was published in the writer's homeland only in 1960. It was banned due to the use of obscene language in the text, explicit sex scenes, and the obscenity of the plot line: a love affair between a working-class guy and an aristocrat. We offer readers the full unadapted text of the novel, supplied with comments and a dictionary.
