All Hallows' Eve (Palmyra Classics)

"All Hallows' Eve" is the final novel by British writer, poet and literary critic Charles Williams, first published in 1945. Williams tells the story of Lester Furnival and her friend Evelyn, who die in a plane crash and are stranded in a ghostly, surreal, twilight London. At the same time, another London falls under the influence of the magician Simon Leclerc, a master of black magic and necromancy, who is willing to sacrifice his own daughter's soul for absolute power. Lester must somehow thwart Leclerc's evil plan if she is to find salvation - for the evil necromancer wants to gain complete dominion over both worlds. Unadapted English language edition.
