The sign of the four

A book to read in English. A certain Mary Morston comes to Sherlock Holmes, who is languishing from forced idleness, and asks him to find his father, who disappeared many years ago, and at the same time to solve the mystery of the pearls sent to her by someone every year on the same day. Holmes, as always, brilliantly unravels this mysterious case, although he irretrievably loses the countless treasures of Agra. Watson finds his love, and Holmes again plunges into boredom. We offer to the attention of readers the complete unadapted text of the novel, supplied with comments and a dictionary.
